Five Years of Transformational Investment
This year marks a powerful milestone for the BIPOC Arts Network and Fund (BANF): five years of work alongside the artists, cultural leaders, and organizations shaping Greater Houston’s cultural landscape. Join us at the Culture Bearer Awards Luncheon on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 12:00 to 2:00 PM at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, 800 Bagby St, Houston, TX 77002.

The Culture Bearer Awards honor artists, organizers, and cultural leaders whose lifelong dedication has shaped Houston’s creative fabric. These remarkable individuals carry forward tradition, share wisdom across generations, and build the cultural foundation that allows communities—and futures—to flourish.
At this milestone moment, we come together to celebrate these leaders whose lifelong contributions bridge generations, cultures, and communities. Their passion and generosity have laid the foundation that BANF continues to build upon.
To honor their lasting impact, each Culture Bearer Awardee will receive:
- A $25,000 award, and
- A commissioned artwork created in recognition of their legacy.
